Default Best way to link Access to SQL Server

I am sure there is a definitive answer somewhere. What I need to do is link an Access 2003 app to a back SQL Server Database. Is a ODBC/DSN connection the best way to do this, or is there a better way?

Thanks in advance,

Mike
