I am designing a report it will show the monthly statement for a customer, the spec's are:

1- On Each Page of the statement report the client wants to implement the barcode vertically to the left of each page.

2- The barcode is string of concatenated data contains: user type, userID, statement No, Page Number

3- the Barcode is going to be an image on the statement


The Problem is Access does not allow the content of image control in a page to be modified before formatting the page or the section in the report.

I have created a VBA program obtain all the data in the barcode string but the problem appears with obtaining the Page No and attached to the barcode, even I have managed to obtain Page No programmatically ... but I still can not change the image control to get the barcode for each page before Access formats it.

If any body has a Solution please Help

Isn't the bar code a Font, and not an image?

In any event, if this is on a report, you need to get the image during the Detail section's On Format event. Then what I would do is set the image visible property to false, and substitute a new image with your data, like

Me.OldImage.Visible = False
Me.NewImage = Me.OldImage & page number?

Yes the bar code is a font stored as an image and inserted vertically to the left of each page of the statement, the problem that access can't produce the page no till the formating been done.
and inserting the barcode as a text control on the report will not be positioned correctly, that inthe middle of left hand side of each page, so I had to picture property.

I have used on format, on page, and on retreat events but it did not work, I am still trying.
