I have a question about some of the code....

Yes there should. Along with word wrapping, watch out for typos! Note: Intellisense isn't available in email and this was done on the fly! <grin>

no prob, I just want to be sure.

another thing I've found so far...

Dim db As Database

I get a "user-defined type not defined" error...

Set a reference to Microsoft DAO via a module window > Tools > References and then the code will compile.

You'll also want to preface your dim statements as
Dim db as DAO.database
