The way this forum works is that if you get involved with a poster, then you can subscribe to that individual post and work with them to resolve the problem. Once solved, the post is left intact so that others can research them.

It is generally impolite to wander around the site posting to every old post that you have some thoughts on since all the original posters are still subscribed... just to those posts, not to every post on the forum. It would be a pain for us to go back and unsubscribe to every single post.

You are free to research the posts, and to try to answer posts that go back as far as you want. But posts that have been resolved are generally not reposted on as a matter of courtesy.
