I have a small database for my own personal use.

I'm trying to validate some fields in VBA. I've added a function in VBA but I can't seem to tie it to the field I am trying to validate. I assumed the function would be visible in the validation dialogue but only the Built in functions appear.

If I create a form then the function is visible via the validation dialogue but i was hoping to use the default datasheet.

Is this possible

If you wanted to validate data, you can either create data validation at the table design level, or use a form and create the data validation on the form. I think if you must use a datasheet for data entry (since it is a personal database) then I would do data validation at the table design level. Working with datasheets is too problematic for this, I think.
