Default Updating Database Through Forms

Hi---I am new to Access and am working on a little project to teach myself Access. I want to update a table called member_list through a form. I have set up a form and added a button to it---clicking this button is supposed to update member_list with the new member name that is entered by the user.

Thanks!

Welcome to P2P, Clueless May. May you not remain clueless for long. :D

If your form is a BOUND form, i.e. your form's Record Source is set to the table, then, you don't have to put a button to update your records. The instant you leave that record, your table will update.

If your form is UNBOUND, i.e. there is no Record Source and the form opens with all fields blank with zero records, you'll have to use VBA code to send that record to that table.

Which do you have?
