I have converted an Access 2 database to Access 2002. Some tables have an Autonumber index. The number generated by new records is not the highest number + 1, but is a blank number in middle. If an attempt is made to save another record immediately afterwards and the next number up is used, it will display error message that not able to save because will create duplicate value. How can I make the autonumber add to the highest number in the table. Thanks.
