This might help you with your requery problem

You might be able to create a text control on the main form that is bound to the ID that relates your Child form (form_A) to the Main form. (Basically diaplays the link criteria field) When your dialog form (form_B) closes the control is populated with the ID and forces the child form (form_A)to requery.
