Default connecting to IIS problem in my laptop

I have installed the IIS component and it is
running but I cannot connect to it using the
browser, I have tried connecting using two methods below
in vain
a) localhost
gives a message Internet explorer could not open
the search page

b) http://127.0.0.1
gives The page cannot be displayed

Kindly assist.

YOu should also be able to use:

http://computername

where computername is the name of the machine running IIS.
