Default you canceled the previous operation

Hi guys
Can anyone explain to me what the above error means and how to get rid of it. I created a sub form with an event procedure. I tested the procedure and found an error, which I then corrected. Now I cant get the form to work at all. All I get is the error "you cancelled the previous operation". I have tried re-creating the control and the event procedure - didn't work. i tried re-creating the subform in total - with still no luck. Any ideas?
regards
Liz

Usually when I get that vague message, it means I misspelled something in code somewhere. Instead of telling me that the varaible/table/query is not found (a good clue to misspelling), it gives me that same "You canceled the previous operation" message instead.
