Default Parameters

whenever I create multiple Parameters, can I make it optional for the users where even if they do not enter anything, it should populate everything. For instance, if my parameters were Date, Line #, Shift #.
If user only wants to see reports by date only, how can I make it to bypass line #, and shift#, but still show the reports by date?

This is a tough one. I have used several buttons in the past, one for each additional parameter. If you want them to have one button and have it pass the parameters that are not null, you may need to use a Select Case statement, then code for each combination of null and not null.

what about dynamically building the report's record source sql?
In the after update event for each parameter, build the sql, when done, click the button to run the report utilizing the built sql as the reports record source.

I tried to make one of the parameters[Enter Date] as criteria and [line#] and [Shift#] as or but it still wouldn't show the right data. I'll try the one that was suggested.

Thank you
