Default Linking To Excel - Error

Hi,

I am getting an error "This recordset is not updateable" when I try to link to an Excel file from Access 2000.

I have been linking with no problems before.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Have your network rights changed on this folder? Does someone have the file open with another application or with Excel?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

How can I check on what my netork rights are???

I tested it again by trying to link to an axcel file held on my hard drive and the same error occured. For info, I am using Access 2000 and trying to link to an Excel 2000 document.

Thanks

Tim
