Default File Browser window

Hi all,

I have a problem that I'm hoping that you'll be able to help me with. I have put together a database that is going to record customer claims against orders. Everything works fine however in order for the information to work correctly I have to run some reports from our warehouse managements system and them upload them into the database. What I'm trying to do is set up a simple control table that I can store the name of the reports along with the path to them. I then want to have a form where the name of these files can be edited if the name of the file or the path changes. I can set this up so they have to be manually typed in but I want to be a bit more flash than that. I want to add a browse button to the form that will open up the normal "File Open" type dilogue box where the user can navigate through to the new file name and select it. Then for the name to be stored on my table.

How do I call up the standard file open window that is used on nearly every MS product? Surely I dont have to re-invent the wheel and create a new form that does this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Jim

Hi Jim,

You can use the MS Common Dialogue control.
