Can an expert please help with 2 issues I have:

1. I have a subform that is displayed in datasheet view.
Example:
Dog
Cat
Bird

Is it possible to display this as a string? Example: Dog, Cat, Bird?

2. I have a report with months displayed as Jan 05, Feb 05, etc., is it possible to put these in chronological order?

You could display this as a string, but you would be better off using a text box instead of a subform. The recordsource for the text box would have to be a query that you set up that looks for the parent form PK in the query criteria like "[Forms]![YourFormName].[PKFieldName]"

For the report, right click on the report and select Sorting and Grouping. Find the date field, or add it, and then select ascending.

Thanks for responding. I'm relatively new to Access so could I get a little more detail please.

The current subform's recordsource is a SQL that runs a comparison of job competencies that relate to a specific job selected from a combo box on the same form. Will any of these processes change if I change the subform to a text box?

You mentioned I could convert the current subform to a string but a text box was better, what is the downfall to converting the subform to a string instead of the text box?
