Default Removing Read Only

Hi, Friends

    I am having 4 database . I created in an PC now i have changed my PC So i writed in an CD and pasted in the New system, now when i open the DB it shows read only file and i am not able to save it in this system .It's difficult from me to do my work pls do the needfull thing as soon as posible.. bcs it very imp DB's for my daily work

You need to copy the databases to the local hard drive and not try to access them from the CD. You cannot write to the CD for each database transaction.

You can move the files to the local hard drive, conduct your work, and then copy them back to the CD as needed.

ok ,
 i understand but i copied the db into the harddisk and still i appears as readonly.
do the needfull

Anuk,
Right click on the db that you copied to your hard drive. SElect "Properties" from the list Under "attributes".

Unselect the "read only" box, save and close the properties window.
