Default Problem with Combo Box

Hi Everyone. Here is my problem: I have a combo box on my screen that controls the record that I am on. It was created by the wizard and when I change something on the screen and try and go directly to my combo box without saving the record, I get an error "Update or Cancel Update without AddNew or Edit" error.

When you go to another record, isn't the current record saved for you by Access? Can anyone Please help?

Thanks,

Chuck (RU1)

This sounds like a problem with referential integrity, not the combo box. When you go to the combo box, it saves the record, but if there are fields missing due to either referential integrity rules, or data validation rules, you would see this error.
