I am trying to make it so the user can only choose an entry. I do not want them to be able to make new entries or edit existing ones. I tried Locking it but then they cant select from it.

any ideas?

On the data tab, set 'Limit to List' to Yes

Then if you want to give the user a message, other than the default 'The item you have selected is not on the list' one, you can put some code into the 'On_NotInList' Event
