Default Facing Problems with text in a Where Clause

I need someone to tell what is the correct syntax for a where clause having text.

I have a table with the following fields: Date, Company, Operation and Quantity. The operation field is a text field where company and Quantity fields are numeric. The date field is a date fomatted and the operation field is Text

I created a buttom with an event procedure as follows:

docmd.openreport stdocname,acpreview,,"date=[forms]![pvc]![text] and operation="w""
this is not working

I don't know know what the right code might be

I am using Microsoft access 2002

thanks in advance for any when who can help

Try this:
docmd.openreport stdocname,acpreview,,"date=[forms]![pvc]![text] and operation='w'"

Btw: This isn't the right forum for this - I think...

I'm possible not the best one to address this ( I'm new to the forum ).

With that having been said I'd try 'w' ( not "w" )
This
docmd.openreport stdocname,acpreview,,"date=[forms]![pvc]![text] and operation='w'"
Not this
docmd.openreport stdocname,acpreview,,"date=[forms]![pvc]![text] and operation="w""

I hope that this help.

Dave
