Default Access hyperlinks to pdf files

I have hyperlinks to .pdf files in an Access database. When clicking on one of these hyperlinks, acrobat flashes on my screen, then disappears. (Will not display the .pdf document.) I have done the detect & repair option on both Access, and Acrobat, but it does not help. Re-install does not work either.

Here are the versions and operating system info:
Adobe Acrobat Professional ver 7.0.0
Windows 2000
Microsoft Office 2003 (Professional edition 11.6566.8107 sp2)

Any suggestions?

Regards,
Laura

We had a similar problem here with Adobe Acrobat 7.0. Here's what someone said to do.

1) Open Adobe Professional 7.0
2) Select Edit > Preferences
3) Select Internet on the left pane.
4) Check or uncheck the box for "Display PDF in Browser" depending on if it was already checked or not.
5) Adobe will ask for a reboot.
6) Then go back in and return the checkbox to whatever state it was in before, either checked or unchecked.
7) Again another reboot.
