Default Stop Tab out of subform

Is there any way to stop the subform from going to a new record when you leave it? I've gone so far as to add an extra control to the form that doesn't get filled in and code the primary form to get focus...still resets the subform on exit :(

just found the glitch and need to fix it ASAP...

Wonder what would happen if you set the properties of the "data entry" on the subform to no rather than yet. I'm still new with Access but it worked for me to not allow people to edit certain controls on the forms like an autonumber, date created, like things that i don't want changed.
