T'm trying to import data from a spreadsheet, but get the "...unable to ... was not imported" message. I can import successfully from an earlier version of the spreadsheet. I've reviewed the help resources, copied the spreadsheet column by column to be sure none were merged, checked that numeric columns don't have blank cells, etc.

Does anybody have a checklist or advice on what to look for?

Are there any ' in any of the text columns? Access has a problem when it runs into those.

I just successfully imported a previous version that has ' in the name field. I had imported that version before, just wanted to check.

I saved the spreadsheet to a tab-delimited .txt file. I imported the .text file with no problems.
