I need some ideas. I am working with a large file of over 3 million records. I am trying to query with LEFT([fieldname],9) into a Subscriber Number field and make a table of the return. Although I can run a select query without incident, when I try to use a Make Table Qry I get the error message "Invalid Arguement". I need the table but can't export to Excel or cut/paste due to the file size. Any suggestions?

First try makig the table yourself adn then running this as an Append query.

If that doesn't work, you can code the entire operation easily enough.

Does the append work? If not, I will post the code you need.
