The resolution to the first problem was to make sure the tables were linked properly, then use the form wizard on the League table, and it will create a league form with a team subform. Then create a look up combo using the wizard to find a record on the main form, and set the On Current event of the main form to set the Combo = PKField. 4 out of 5 top Access experts use this solution.

Would that help? Or are you using the combo's for another purpose (run reports, etc?)
