If you are asking about mde file then, you should first compile your db to remove errors etc. Once found no errors in VBA code, you may goto Tools-->Database Utilities-->Make MDE File. This will create a MDE file of your db keeping the original mdb safe.

You must have MS Access installed on the computer to run this MDE.

But if you are asking for exe file to run without MS Access installed onto your pc then you need run-time version.

Hope this helps.

Hi

I can add a little to this if you are running access 2007, then creating and exe is now quite simple using the runtime version and downloading the Dev toolkit from microsoft site. If you are running 2003 or below then all i can say is good luck, this is a whole new problem of which i didn't pursue

Cheers

Darren
