How is the database split? Do you have only tables on a back end on a server? Are the tables linked? How do users access those tables? Are all users mapped to the same drive letter and path for the back end?

What is in the front end?

Is the front end an application that resides on the users' desktops, or is there a single copy of the front end on a network drive that all users open with a shortcut?

hi donal,

database split into frontend and Backdend and i pasted the frontend in the client computer and the problem occur while the database is accessed by more then 2 clients .

DB contains nearly 12 table and 7 forms and 6 reports ...

When the DB is accessed by more then 3 clients most of the forms get opened but some 1 or 2 form give error .... " This form is exclusively opened by another user or your not having that much of permission to open the forms".

Give me an solution as soon as possible ...

Hi

Just a quick note on this, don't know if this will fix your problem, but i have seen this issue arise when different versions and/or service packs are used. I run a split DB with around 30 clients connected using access 2002, even though the db was written in 2003 initially i did have some issues with differing service packs on the users machines. Are your tables linked via drive letter mapping (P:\MYDB\DATA) or unc (\\MYSERVER\MYDB\DATA) and does access manage this link or do you connect via code??
