I have a program running on MS Access 2002 resite in a server running on Microsoft Windows 2000. And often prompt message such as '[Microsoft ODBC Jet] Too many active users' at remote pc. And have given full permission to all users on the database. Why is this so?

To avoid some of those pit falls try some of the following.
1. split your database (data tables on server)
2. Forms, queries and Reports and client computer.
3. Share the database folder to everyone needing access

Their may be a user limit to access, although I havn't read about one. Certain programs have limits to connections they will accept concurrently. The SQL server Desktop will only allow 5 concurrent conncetions at any given time. How many people are sharing the database?

How many users total use the database? even if they do not use it at the same time.
Are you using only Access as a front end? is it a split design? please give more details.
i do not see why you are getting that message. You may want to do a search on the web for the exact error number or description. I have seen this before, but i do not remember where.
