Default Code Window

A hopefully not silly question as my first post;
Using Access 2007 on a WIndows XP box, the code window in Access VBA editor is grayed out and I can not activate it to start a project in a new DB.
Please offer suggestions on how to correct this situation.
Carl

It sounds to me like you need to insert a module/class module to hold your code.

Click Insert>Module for a standard module to hold your code.
