Criteria

I am running Microsoft Access 2010. I have a form. I want when someone checks this certain box that they have to enter a date into the field below that. I am not good with programming and visual basic. Can anyone tell me how I can do that.

Also can someone suggest a self help book that I might get to teach myself the advance stuff in access. If not a book is there a website I could go to?

Any help would be appreciated
