Well,
AFAIK, ADO.NET will be release with the rest of the .NET Framework 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005.
Last thing I heard, it's expected somewhere Q2 2005 or later, so you'll have to wait at least another year. Take a look at the
Roadmap for Developers for more info.
Was is it you have seen in 2.0 you like so much?
