Default date problem with database

 this is concerned with an event organising project. i have a "start date" and "end date" of an event in the access database.

when an user enters a "start date" and "end date" in the vb.net form it should check with the database and display whether the particular dates are free or not.

can any one pleeeeeeeeeeeeease help me out with this

What is your problem exactly?
do you have problem in creating queries?
