1. If you have the ASP book I'd tell you to skip the
VB book. However there is content in the ASP book that a
VB book wouldn't cover. SPecifically things like the web.config and other ASP content (well, in more detail!)
2. I am not sure what "jiggery pokery" might be, however there are changes from 1.1 to 2. Some will be a boon to web developers- like the idea of "Master Pages"
3. Don't upgrade existing systems- it's not worth the effort.
4. You might get more answers if you had posted this in the ASP.NET forum (Also known as ASPX) rather than the ADO.NET forum.
