Default inserting data

I am not a programmer but i am quite attracted to programming.Recently i started using visual studio.I want to know that if i want to add details from my asp.net page to SQL server 2005. My page has a text box,a radio button a drop down list,and a list box and i want to store these details into a table.How can i do that using a select command.Can anyone help a naive user.
