Default Visual Studio .NET 2003 supports AJAX ?

dear friend,

1. does VS .NET 2003 & NET .Framework 1.1 support AJAX ?

2.
i need to work out with a device DLL (it has events, methods, properties) on client machine,
whereas the data for this device is from database (ASP .NET)...

should we use AJAX or just Javascript ? how ? and pls give links and
 sample codes.

Thank you,
hendy

You can place Ajax code into ASPX pages in visual studio without problem, there is no "support" for it tho. (Intellisense and such)

Your second question i have posted various replies to across multiple forums. Read those answers.

Yes, take a look at the Ajax.Net library - as I remember the ASP.NET AJAX (formerly ATLAS) does not work with .NET 2003.

Ajax.Net library: http://ajax.schwarz-interactive.de/c...e/default.aspx
ASP.NET AJAX: http://ajax.asp.net/

You can probably use either.

Thank you,
hendy
