Default AJAX Dialog Box

Hello...all...
I am having a lot of trouble with AJAX...and I badly need help with one of my university projects...
Well...starting off with my current problem...

I need to keep on calling a method from the servlet which checks if the user has any pending messages in a queue defined. If there are any...then a popup should be displayed with the message and two buttons..."Accept" & "Reject" and depending on the button clicked further changes should be made...

One more constrain is i already have an AJAX script running every two seconds to refresh the list of users online....

I know the logic...but the coding is what I am unable to do...simply not getting AJAX...so plz help...

Working on Eclipse...its JSP web project

Thank YOu in adv
