Default MSDE, how create database, user account ???

Hi, I am new to MSDE, I just installed MSDE :
the isallation created a directory :
C:\sql2ksp3

Then I went to command prompt :
C:\sql2ksp3\setup INSTANCENAME="dbmsde" SAPWD="admin" SECURITYMODE=sql

I restarted the system, I noticed a small icon(like a small computer) in the bottom right next to the clock, when I double clicked it, I got a dilog box called SQL Server Service Manager that has :
Server input
and
Services input
and start stop buttons.

1)What is the server ?
2)What is the services ? should I create them ? How ?
3)How to create a database?
4)How to create a user account ?

Please your help is apprecited.

Thank you

Hi,
1.
The server in the connectionstring is probably one of the following:

"(local)"
"(local)\DBMSDE" - That's your instancename
"(the name of your machine)\(instancename)"

2. Don't bother with the services now,you don't need them.

3. and 4.

Go to
http://www.microsoft.com/sql/msde/default.asp and download their

"sql web data administrator"
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en.

If you have problems with running it, then go to their forum

http://www.sqljunkies.com/forums/.
They describe all the solutions.

With that tool, you can do all the administration, you wish, and it it is difficult otherwise.

Kind regards

Finn
