Bad Code in "Professional JavaScript 2nd Edition".

I worked for quite sometime with code samples from chapter 3 and could not get anything to work. The case sensitivity is driving an old VB programmer a bit nuts.

I finally downloaded the source for the book and extracted Car.HTM and displayed the page. Guess what! It didnt work either. The Car's speed never got above zero.

So I am not crazy and/or blind. Can anyone tell me what is going on here.
