Default asp ,net e-commerce chapter 3 Eroor

wrox joke shop!!

hey guys in chapter 3 making the department list i get this error when i run it???? does any 1 no what it means

Compiler Error Message: BC30456: 'Eva1' is not a member of 'System.Web.UI.DataBinder'.

Hi there,

Are you trying to use DataBinding? In that case, I think you're referring to Eval (with an l instead of an 1).
Since you didn't post all your code, I can't be sure, but it looks to me that could be the problem.

Well, it's what I though it was (did you even try my recommendation??)

It says Eva1 and not Eval.

ok thx thats got rid off that error but no i get this 1 =(

What language are you using? Maybe &amp; should in fact be & to concatenate?

It's not clear where you get your data binding from, so I am not sure what the problem is..... Is this the exact code from the book? If so, compare your code with the original downloadable samples....
