Default Programming Language?

Which books i need to read to get a good grasp of ASP.Net.
I am new to programming as i am an electronics engineer. Please define in detail that what books can be read. Moreover, if learning a language needs a prior formal training from an institute. Someone told me regarding wrox publications that they provide good books. Also, from where i can get the software required for compiling the applications on computer. Does that software comes with books itself. Please provide me with a source if it is required to be downloaded.

Hi there,

If you want to learn ASP.NET, take a look at my book Beginning ASP.NET 4 in C# and VB: http://www.wrox.com/WileyCDA/WroxTit...470502215.html

It teaches you how to build database driven web sites (starting from scatch) and deals with topics such as downloading and installing the necessary software.

Make sure you check out the Amazon reviews to see what others think of this book: http://www.amazon.com/Beginning-ASP-...dp/0470502215/
