Default Could not reserve enough space for object Heap

Error occurred during initialization of VM. Could not reserve enough space for object heap. I receive this error when issuing the jakarta-tomcat stop script. Jakarta-tomcat never stops and I must kill the process. Running Solaris 2.8, Tomcat 4.1.31 and Apache 1.3.34. Im new, be easy.
