Default Error starting a new web application

Hi I am arun.I am using tomcat 4.1.24.I really got trouble in starting a new web application in the tomcat server. The web application named forum is installed successfully with out any error. When I install the aplication using tomcat manager I get the message "OK - Installed application from context file file:\\c:\tomcat\webapps\forum.xml" , but the application is not running. When I start the application using the tomcat manager I get the message "FAIL - Application at context path /forum could not be started".I have tried a lot but I couldn't able to start the application. So help me in troubleshooting this problem.
