Shopping Cart Application

Hi,
Can anyone send any sample code for shopping cart application minus the online payment part. I need only ordering items and putting into the cart portion. Moreover if someone puts items in the cart but does not actually buy at that time itself. How can the items be retained if he logs out of the session and later wants to view it.
