i have 2 radio buttons A and B
the user can change the radio button value from A to B
or B to A and hit submit. When submit is hit the radio button
value is inserted in the database and it shows a msgbox to the
user Insert successful. the default radio button value should
be the latest value updated by the user. when the submit is hit
the radio button value does not refresh until you refresh the page

  What is your exact requirement? AS i understand, how many submit buttons are there? You said, when submit button is hit, the radio button values should remain as the user set values and insert to database. And, you want to show a message box to show its successful insertion. Are you sure? Are you coding at client side or server side?

And finally said that "when submit button is hit the radio button values does not refresh until the page refresh" What does this submit button?

Can u be more clear?
