Default Paging Again Still Not Efficient

Hi All,
I want to talk some about paging supported by data grid control, and still paging is not efficiet and waste resources and degrade the performance, as for Normal and simple Paging each time pageindex event happen the datagrid have to get all data from the dbengine again for each binding else you have to cache the returned data and bind it to the grid and in this case a heavy load on the server and still we are away from what i excepect which is to only get the required data from the dbengine based on index and there is currPageindex based on i will get the 5 next or 5 previous records for examble The Question Is That is there a better sol.????

the Second problem with that solution is Sorting: it make me do a view for that grid and generate the index but i was stuck how do the index column. ????

So I need help

for data grid
