ah, i catched the error, it was that column is a template column, i changed it to a bound column and worked right. but i still need that column in a template form to edit the fields it holds. any suggestion?

oh, i have all solved by now!!! in a boundcolumn i can access a control doin' :
e.Item.Cells[0].Controls[0]

so everything is fine. this topic is closed, for me at least. Thanks everybody out there. (write)read you anywhere on the forum!!!!!
