Default Invalid specification file object in asp

I am getting an "Invalid specification file object" error message when trying to use adobe 5.0 to open a pdf file through my web application (asp).

Would it be how the web server is setup?

You shouldn't need to do anything. As long as you link to the PDF, the browser will know how to open it (if it can).
