Default newbie - asp vs. aspx

Hello -
I'm relativly new to asp - my background is lingo.
Would it better to learn asp or aspx to build dynamic sites to augment my CD titles?

If you can build an application with .Net, you should do that. It's lightyears beyond ASP and works much better and is more flexible.
