cannot detect selection of checkbox datagrid edit

hi all,

I am using checkbox as EditItemTemplate in datagrid. When I click on edit the checkboxes get displayed. But when I make selection and say update all the selection disappears and all chekboxes get reset.

How do i capture which checkbox is selected by user If I don't get the checked property = true.

Please help. Its urgent.
