select last few record..... pls help

hi, im not sure is there any sql statement that select last few latest record from database table, i think i was read this somewhere b4, but now i just cant found it again... do any1 can help? thanks

if u r using MS-SQL u can use:

SELECT TOP [N] *
FROM [Table]
ORDER BY [Field] DESC
