datalist

hi all

i have a datalist in which i am displaying some informations like ProductID, ProductName,price etc, in lables,inside datalist

how can i store the values displayed, like
item.ProductName = DataGrid1.SelectedItem.Cells(2).Text
here its for datagrid

can anyone please tel, how can do it for datalist?
is a select button column, must for doing this?
