checkbox validation on client side using Javascrip

Please help - this is urgent..
i have an Asp.NET DataGrid, with two of the template columns containing checkboxes.
if the second check box is checked and the first checkbox lying in the same box is unchecked, and alert message should be displayed.
No postback is allowed.
